Primer for STOP it - for Outdoor and Wet Areas
To ensure that the STOP it anti-slip coating adheres reliably and for the long term, priming is required on certain surfaces. This is especially important in outdoor areas and wet environments, where surfaces are exposed to frequent moisture.
The primer creates the ideal base for the STOP it coating and significantly improves adhesion on absorbent materials that regularly come into contact with water.
When is a primer required?
Priming is recommended whenever a surface is frequently exposed to water, for example due to rain, splashing water or permanently humid conditions in bathrooms and wet rooms.
Occasional damp cleaning does not count as regular moisture exposure.
Suitable surfaces for priming
The following surfaces should be primed before applying the STOP it anti-slip coating in outdoor or wet areas:
Important note
For stone floors, tiles, and enamel shower or bathtubs, we generally recommend our anti-slip treatments as an alternative to the STOP it anti-slip coating.
However, in certain applications a coating is explicitly desired – in these cases, this primer provides the perfect preparation.
